This year I had a setback with my body image...

So you might have seen me share a little on instagram recently about having a knock with my body confidence this year.


I've struggled a lot with low body image in the past, putting all my focus and self-worth on how I look. Through the work that I have done, I have realized that this isn't helpful, and that we are SO much more than how we look.


But this journey, is a process, and we don't feel good about ourselves all the times. And that's what happened to me this year...


I didn't feel great about the way I was looking, and found that I was fixating on it a little more than usual. I noticed I was grabbing at my stomach more, and pointing bits out in the mirror, that I didn't like. Luckily, I am at that point where I can challenge these thoughts as they arise, and I quickly realized that the issue was that I had let my movement practices slip. I wasn't feeling as strong and as healthy in my body.


So, I decided to do something about it. I scheduled two weekly strength workouts, and I made essential time for my own yoga practice. And I have gone back to being consistent with it! That's all it takes sometimes. To focus on things you love doing, and being consistent in changing your habits.

It's important to remember that we don't need to move just to lose weight. Because this is what a lot of people think. I move for my mental, emotional AND physical health. I move for JOY! And this is what I want for you!
